As the end of the month approaches many small business owners suddenly realise that the last quarter (ending 31 December 2007) BAS is due for lodgement, on 28 February 2008.
Consequently bookkeepers are being inundated with requests for help in getting all the documentation together on time for the BAS lodgement at the end of this month.
Because there’s already been an extension by the ATO to end of February, there’ll be little chance of being able to get a further extension from the Australian Taxation Office.
