Each year we invite our bookkeeping clients to join us in celebrating Christmas by getting together and having an informal dinner. Our goal is to surprise our guests with an evening that is remembered long after the end of dessert and coffee, another example of how we under promise and over deliver
Last year we chose a small Mexican restaurant that claims to be the “Best Mexican Restaurant” on Australia’s Gold Coast. Our clients had a wonderful evening, the food was great, the ambiance and service was fabulous. The restaurant benefited by gaining new patrons who returned on other occasions, in turn bringing their own guests to this “undiscovered” restaurant. Our clients talked about the Mexican evening for many months after the event.
Create an evening remembered beyond the dessert and coffee
This year we selected a fantastic venue that even many Gold Coast locals are unaware of – one of our clients described it as “A Hidden Jewel” , the Avica Wedding Resort in Merrimac. Their level of service was excellent. I have not heard of any other restaurant that insisted on contacting a guest that had special dietary requirements to ensure that the catering would be acceptable.
Many restaurants would simple serve up a lettuce leaf on a plate because that would have been the easiest solution
We underpromised and overdelivered
At the Avica Resort, the management and staff were excellent, making us feel very special, and catering to our specific wishes. They helped us create a win-win-win situation.
It was a win for the Avica as they were able to provide a function on an otherwise quiet night.
We were successful in making our bookkeeping clients feel special, thanking them for their continued support, and creating an evening that would be remembered as more than a great feed, beyond the dessert and coffee
It was a win for us as we were able to show our clients that, once again, we underpromised and overdelivered, and it was a win for our bookeeping clients who enjoyed an evening that was beyond expectations.
