Technology to talk to people in outer space- but cannot get response from Canberra

There’s a touch of irony that we cannot even get a response from the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy

Why does it take so long for someone whose portfolio is Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy to respond to an email in the Twenty First Century, when Communications have been QUICKER than they have ever been, and we can talk to people on the moon and in space, but cannot get a response from a Minister in Canberra?

Not even an autoresponder? You’d think that someone in the office of the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy would have the technology to set up an autoresponder to reply to emails sent to their office. If politicians were in private enterprise how long would they survive?
