Aaron is not unlike many clients that contact us needing a bookkeeper!
He’s an air-conditioning subcontractor who’s so busy that he’s not had tme to sort out all the paperwork, but knows he needs to get his bookkeeping in order. “I bought the MYOB software package about 18 months ago, and it’s still in the box”. So I guess all your dockets and invoices are shoved in a shoebox waiting to be sorted?
“No, I spent some time sorting all that stuff out, I just need someone to help me and get all the bookkeping done so I can get upto date with my BAS and end of year returns”
It’s not always a good thing that clients try and “sort out the mess” themselves, as we find that we still have to go through all the documentation anyway, and the time that they have spent thinking that they are saving on bookkeeping fees, has really only cost them time.

We’ve developed a system for sorting out all the documentation and filing it so that the keying is so much quicker. We present the client with a neat folder with all their invoices, receipts, bank and credit card statements all neatly filed in order, so that they can actually find any documantation in an instant. They are totally amazed at the transformation of the shoebox full of paper that they had originally presented us.
What appears to be an enormous headache for Aaron will soon become a streamlined bookkeeping process that will be readily updated and take a huge load off his shoulders. More important, he’ll keep the tax man away, and not have to worry about receiving any more nasty letters from the ATO!
