Every one wants to save on bookkeeping fees- even we, as bookkeepers actually want to save our clients on bookkeeping fees - see our special report
If we’re using valuable time on trivial tasks, we are costing the client money
That may sound crazy, but we will do whatever we can to get the client’s work done accurately, efficiently, and speedily. So when we have to spend time fossicking around for payment details, or trying to match up chequebook incomplete butts with bank statments, we feel we are wasting time
If we’re using valuable time on trivial tasks, we are costing the client money. How simple can it be, everytime to write a cheque, just to fill in the cheque butt with the date, the payee, a brief description, and amount.
How long does that take? Maybe a couple of minutes! SO you think it’s wasting time by doing that? Then think about the fact that your bookkeeper has to look for the cheque on the bank statement, and locate the date it was paid, and the amount - then what? The bookkeeper then has to contact you, the client, to ascertain the purpose of the cheque.
If you think you’ll save yourself a couple of minutes by not worrying about your paperwork, then don’t complain to your bookkeeper about the fees you’ll have to pay them. See our special report
